A goal of Grow Up Safe is to streamline access to important child injury prevention resources available at the local level in Ohio. Streamlining access helps raise awareness that these resources exist and can increase their use, leading to improved child safety.
Resources are arranged by topic. Under each topic you will find varied information that may include links to toolkits, programs, initiatives, and materials. Although we have tried to be comprehensive in the curation of these resources, we may not have listed every program available nor is every injury topic represented.
The resources we have included are not intended to endorse any specific entity or organization. We also do not include resources that have a commercial purpose.

The Central Ohio Poison Center serves about three quarters of Ohio’s 88 counties, providing free, confidential, 24/7 emergency poisoning treatment advice for the public, medical professionals, industry, human service agencies, and the general public. The Central Ohio Poison Center fields over 42,000 calls each year. The "Be Poison Smart!"® Program provides poison prevention education to health care providers, students, parents and the general public in cooperation with agencies such as the Ohio Department of Health, Head Start and the Ohio Hospital Association.
