Farming has a very large presence in Ohio and is an important part of the everyday lives of many Ohioans. Family farms hold many dangers, especially for children, of which many people may not be aware. Hundreds of children are seen in emergency departments every year for farm-related injuries. Many of these injuries are severe and some are fatal.
